Man released after imprisonment for consensual teenaged oral sex
Should a 17-year-old teenager get 10 years in prison for having consensual oral sex with his 15-year-old girlfriend? The state of Georgia said yes; but now, after two years, the court said no. But just barely.
The court ruled 4-3 that Genarlow Wilson was subjected to cruel and unusual punishment. His conviction was ordered to be reversed, and he has been released. But this is after he paid two years of his young life for "aggravated child molestation."
This is another example of the absurdity of so many U. S. laws. How many people reading this engaged in consensual sexual activity with another teenager where the age difference was two years or greater?
They've finally released a man who, in my opinion, should never have been imprisoned for something that, in my opinion, should not be a crime. The act has been reduced in Georgia to a misdemeanor, but still leaves the question: should this be illegal?
In a religious state that believes in maintaining strict control over its citizens in support of that society's official religion, perhaps yes, for them. In a totalitarian state that forces strict controls over its citizens, it might be bad for the people, but is at least consistent with the government of the country. But in a nation like the United States that supposedly is in favor of personal freedom?

This age nonsense is just that. Nonsense. What if there's a year and a half difference? Or a year? Or six months? Or three years or four years or five or ten or twenty? It's all nonsense. Sex is sex is sex. If it's rape or deception, it's bad. If it's consensual, it's ok. If it harms none, do as you will.

CraZy! Half my friends would be in jail. Me too! Why won't government get out of our bedrooms? And the back of our cars!

We make everything a crime in America. Next they'll outlaw sneezing.

There's one word for this. STOOPID!
Why can't the government leave people alone? I'm Wiccan and I believe if it harms none, do as you will. They spend lots of time and money arresting people and locking them up for not hurting anybody! I have a really good friend who was arrested and harmed no one.
They should keep the laws that help people and the environment, and get rid of all the rest!

Punished for two years for doing something completely normal and natural that almost everybody does and doesn't hurt anybody. Now that makes sense.

Then she said to the man in grandma's clothes, "Gee, what big feet you have!"

Why do we need these laws anyway?

My Mamma was married at 18 to an 18 year old. He mistreated her and abused her. She got a restraining order and finally divorced him. At 20 she married a guy who was 34. He treated her great. He's my Pappa. So who was the better for her, the young guy the same age or the old guy old enough to be her Pappa?

This is stupidity at its worse. Who hasn't done this? Are they going to arrest everybody? Stupid!

The explanation for this is that Americans are a bunch of (jerks)!
(Sorry we censored a word, but we have to follow our policy, however inane. Please see Read Before Posting at http://loveshade.org/blog/read_before_posting/ Thanks!)
