Alzheimer's? Smoke Pot
Marijuana use has long been associated with problems in short term recall. Hey, did I say bud affects short term recall?
Ironically enough, weed may help prevent--and even reverse--the most notorious memory disease of all, Alzheimer's Disease.
The journal Neurobiology of Aging reported that a compound that works like marijuana's THC reduces brain inflammation and improves memory in senior citizen rats.
As always, more research will have to be done. But the effects of chemicals on rats are amazingly similar to the effects on humans.
Could this be another nail in the coffin of out-dated anti-marijuana laws? Hey, Grandpa, don't forget to smoke some grass!

They don't want to make bud legal cuz anybody can grow it in their backyard or closet. How can drug companies make any money that way? The Big Drug Companies want to stop the small dealers because the companies are the Big Dealers. Give someone 20 years in prison for selling a pound of drugs and they make millions selling millions. And making something that people want illegal really stops it, right? That's why prohibition completely stopped people from drinking alcohol.

This is why the government should think about the good something can do for people before they ban it. Every drug could be bad or good depending on how its used. If people know the truth, they can make their own decisions.

Pot will ruin your mind! It makes you so you can't drive! I know. In this study they made 23 subjects smoke 5 joints each and after that they tried driving. Every one of the rats crashed!

If pot helps, and that's a big if, there has to be something better. The Bible speaks against drunkedness, and that applies to anything that makes you "high" as well. Get high on the spirit, and you won't need drugs.

They made marijuana legal for medical use in California, but the feds still arrested some doctor who prescribed it. Nobody can make sense of it. There's just too many damn laws.

Andy they're talking about using pot for medicine not getting high. You can get high on prescription drugs too.

Gina prescription drugs are prescribed by a doctor. Marijuana people get on the street. That's not the same. And don't think just because doctors prescribe it that it will stop the illegal drug trade because it won't.

Were you aware that short term memory loss is avoidable? It's really fascinating what the mind can do if you increase your brain activity and keep a healthier nutrition. I once was worried about memory loss, but now I see the merit in challenging my mind to a fitness routine of its own.
