Uganda May Hang Gays--Supported by The Family?
There is a bill being proposed in Uganda that would make homosexuality a capital crime; violators would be hung. Anyone who failed to report a homosexual in Uganda could be imprisoned for three years.
Apparently, some of the people behind the bill (possibly the author) are associated with The Family, a conservative Christian organization.

Please do not confuse Christians with one Christian sect. The Bible says that homosexuality is wrong, and under the Old Testament or old law homosexuals were put to death. But Jesus brought love and forgiveness. Homosexuality is a sin against God, but no more so than adultery. All can be forgiven if you ask Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I never said all Christians hated gays and wanted to kill them. The Family is an extreme group to which a number of conservative political people belong to; Including three congressmen who were involved in sexual scandals. You don't like gays, you don't have to. This is America! But Gays have a right to live and no one should say otherwise; at least in America.

Another Christian hate group? The president of Uganda and the legislator who introduced the bill are both members of The Family. And there was two no three Republican sex scandals associated with the group. And Pastor Rick Warren? Weird.

Apparently, the group called The Family is also known as The Fellowship, and has been around since 1935. Douglas Coe has been the leader since 1969, and they have been named one of the most influencial fundamentalist Christian organizations in America (some key people in the United States federal government are involved).
Time magazine called Douglas Cole one of the 25 most influencial evangelists in America in 2005: ‘Douglas Coe, The Stealth Persuader: Many people think Congress is the host of the gala annual National Prayer Breakfast, which takes place this week. It is not. The breakfast is organized by 33 members of Congress who belong to a well-connected but secretive Christian group called the Fellowship Foundation, which is run by Douglas Coe. Coe, 76, has been called the “stealth Billy Graham.” He specializes in the spiritual struggles of the powerful.’ http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101050207/photoessay/4.html
And the raw story has this: 'Under current Ugandan law, homosexuality is a crime punishable by life in prison. The proposed law would not just condemn HIV positive gay men and “repeat offenders” to death, it would also jail for three years anyone who knows a gay man but refuses to report them to authorities. Further, anyone who defends in public the rights of gays and lesbians would be subjected to a seven year prison term.' http://rawstory.com/2009/11/author-the-family-proposed-ugandan-law-execute-hiv-men/

Uganda should have three new laws:
1) Kill all the Ungandan gays
2) Kill all the Ungandan non-gays
3) Realize a third law really isn't needed

I didn't post this but I'm commenting. This is just terrible. How can they do this? If you don't betray you friend you get three years in prison, and if you say it's wrong you get seven years? If this group is Christian Americans they need to send Christian love and American freedom of speech there too.

You all are a bunch of wimps. Don't you know gays don't reproduce? If they're allowed to live Earth won't be overrun with people. And that would be bad.

Uganda is a hot bed for human rights violations. This is just one more. Stopping this one law won't fix Uganda. The whole government needs to be overthrown.

Uganda does need the love of Christ. The whole world does. If everyone followed Jesus, there would be no persecution of homosexuals because they're wouldn't be any.

Andy changing your religion doesn't change your sexual orientation! If someone's gay they're gay whatever their religion. But I agree if people followed Jesus they wouldn't be persecuting anybody.

Uganda is a hotbed of civil rights violations. If you're gay or not gay, stay out of Uganda!
