Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia 10 Year Anniversary

Cover of the pulled edition of Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht.

No, it’s not the 10-year anniversary of the book. Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht came out just a couple years ago–then was pulled from publication very, very quickly. (Obscenity? Plagiarism? Government Crackdown?)

And no, it’s not the 10-year anniversary of when it began. The earliest Discordian pieces written by Reverend Loveshade that appear in Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia were written in late 1994.

But it is the 10-year anniversary of Reverend Loveshade’s vision to begin the collection. The Rev. was in hiding on Mid Year’s day, 2 July 2005, on a friend’s small farm in Texas. That was where and when the dream vision of Cherub Princess Shamlicht to write the book came in a dream.

And though the book, which received blurbs from Alan Moore, R. Crumb, Robert Anton Wilson and Rev. Ivan Stang, was pulled, it appears Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia may return in 2016….

  1. The book’s coming back great! The whole thing was stupid anyway. And then somebody hacked Amazon.com and took all the positive reviews off. I put mine back up.

    And Happy Mid Years Day!

  2. I’m looking forward to seeing the classic book come back!

  3. That is great that the book is coming back. It was out for so short of time almost no one got to see it. But so many greats have praised it that it should do very well.
